Description
The Womens International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF) is a feminist peacebuilding organization founded in 1915. It currently operates in 40 countries across the Americas, Africa, Europe, Asia-Pacific, South Asia, and the Middle East and North Africa. WILPF collaborates with activists, networks, coalitions, platforms, and civil society organizations worldwide to empower women to advocate for peaceful and sustainable alternatives to crises and conflicts.

WILPF Lebanon was established in 1962 and focuses on enhancing the inclusion of women in peace and stability processes. From 2012 to 2022, it partnered with ABAAD to provide multi-sectoral services for survivors of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) and support women and girls who are at risk of or affected by violence due to conflict. WLPF has also been working with Syrian women residing in refugee camps to develop their conflict resolution skills.
